Examples of Data Selection

In the DataSelection table, epochs of data selection can be defined by specifying a begintime and endtime relative to a marker. The data will appear in the event field event.data.raw. The sample corresponding to 'begintime' is not included in the data selection, whereas the sample corresponding to 'endtime' is included. Below are some examples (Fs=sample frequency).

Specifying an epoch of one sample

In order to specify an epoch of the sample corresponding to the current marker, you can define:

begintime=-1/Fs  and endtime=0, or
begintime=-1# and endtime=0#

In order to specify an epoch of the first sample following the current marker, you can define:

begintime=0  and endtime=1/Fs, or
begintime=0# and endtime=1#

Specifying an epoch of one second

In order to specify an epoch of one second following the current marker, you can define:

begintime=0  and endtime=1, or
begintime=0# and endtime=Fs#

If the current marker has sample number S, the epoch will contain the data from samples S+1 through S+Fs.
